FULL CHARGE BOOKKEEPER/STAFF ACCOUNTANT

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Multiple Bank reconciliations for depository accounts
  • Reconcile all balance sheet accounts; reviewing for input accuracy and prepare monthly reports and journal entries, as needed
  • General ledger maintenance
  • Prepare weekly payroll
  • Administration of quarterly business and payroll taxes
  • Prepare monthly financial statements
  • Maintain required business documents
  • Assistance with the annual budget and audit process
  • Maintain financial document retention files
  • New vendor setup and maintenance
  • Vendor statement reconciliation and discrepancies
  • Deposit and cash reports
  • Prepare and/or review of all expense reports for accuracy and proper expense disclosure
  • Perform accounting requirements Authority’s construction projects
  • Perform other related duties as may be requested by the Director

 

Qualifications

  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s/College Degree
  • Proficient in accounting
  • Extensive knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
  • Over 3 years Full Charge Bookkeeping experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast paced work environment
  • Highly organized and detail oriented
  • Able to complete tasks accurately and timely with minimal supervision
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Thrives in a collaborative, team player office environment
  • Ability to interface well with staff and external contacts
  • Proven ability to maintain confidentiality

CAD OPERATOR

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Layout  and details portions of projects using schematic layout by project lead engineer
  • Professional responsibility for accurate design calculations
  • Timely preparation of design and advise of the same to the project heads
  • Internal check-up  of design documents
  • Perform structural design and analysis calculations using governing codes and standards, engineering formula, skills and experience
  • May be assigned to do schematic or conceptual layouts
  • Research design options and document findings for project lead engineer
  • Review drawings
  • Create and verify layouts, design, structural and detail drawings and equipment bills of material for material handling equipment
  • Modify and revise designs
  • Work with Project Engineer, design engineers, and technical people to take designs to full fabrication details
  • Self-checking work completed as well as checking the work of other detailers and designers
  • Coordinate design details
  • Will be assigned on site

 

Qualifications

  • graduate of at least Bachelor’s degree in Computer Technology, Architecture or Civil Engineering or equivalent
  • at least 3 years of professional experience
  • must be knowledgeable in using CAD applications and software

SAFETY OFFICER

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Identify best practices and lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce work process risks, raise safety awareness, and improve safe work practices
  • Facilitate a work environment that supports a safe and healthy culture
  • Conduct or coordinate worker training in areas such as safety laws and regulations, hazardous condition monitoring, and use of safety equipment
  • Perform safety audits and inspect facilities, machinery, and safety equipment to identify and correct potential hazards, and to ensure safety regulation compliance
  • Investigate industrial accidents, near-miss incidents, and occupational injuries to determine causes, install preventive measures, and manage return-to-work activities
  • Provide technical advice, coaching, guidance, and mentoring to employees on safety initiatives and necessary changes
  • Coordinate employee safety programs to determine their adequacy including review of short and long term strategic safety planning and development
  • Order and maintain facility safety inventory including supplies and equipment
  • Work within company policy as outlined in the Employee Handbook and in compliment with the Safety Manual and Safety rules
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Researches new regulations and developments in the field of Health and Safety and recommend changes in the company’s program
  • Assists in the documentation and implementation of required or desired changes in the safety program
  • Writes job specific Safety plans; schedules jobsite visits and safety audits
  • Ensures full compliance of safety plan
  • Controls hazardous working conditions and unsafe employee practices through site visits, safety plans, and education of all supervisory personnel
  • Reviews documentation to ensure all required onsite records and reports are complete, accurate and submitted per established procedures.
  • Reinforces safety awareness in a manner that promotes cooperation and improved morale
  • Accompanies all safety, health and insurance inspectors on walk through inspections
  • Conducts work area inspections and assists in personal injury investigations
  • Provides job orientation to crew at job sites

 

Qualifications

  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s/College Degree, Professional License (Passed Board/Professional License Exam), Engineering (Civil), Engineering (Industrial), Engineering (Mechanical), Engineering (Metal Fabrication/Tool & Die/Welding), Engineering (Environment/Health/Safety), or equivalent. Certifications with COSH, BOSH, Mining & GeoSciences Bureau are of an advantage
  • Required Skill/s: MS Office, MS Project, AutoCAD
  • At least 3 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position. Having experience with the Cement Industry, in engineering and construction would be an advantage
